The 1992 Malaysian motorbike Grand Prix was the third round of the 1992 Grand Prix motorbike racing season. It took place on the weekend of 17-19 April 1992 at the Shah Alam Circuit.

After victories in the first two races of the year by German rider Ralf Waldmann, who came third on this occasion, Italian Alessandro Gramigni took his first win of the season in Malaysia ahead of compatriot Bruno Casanova.

The 125cc project, born from the genius hand of Jan Witteveen, proved to be an immediate winner with Alessandro Gramigni taking victory at the third GP of the season in Malaysia. This success was the result of work that was starting to progress more and more, thanks also to the team management of Carlo Pernat. Victories, however, sometimes 'hide' incredible stories that even a Hollywood scriptwriter could not write so well.
