Eddie Lawson in 1991 switched to Cagiva and with it obtained in 1992 his last victory in the Hungarian Grand Prix, which simultaneously also the first victory of the Varese-based manufacturer after 10 years of racing.

July 12, 1992 Hungarian Grand Prix : after a wet restart Lawson restarted on cut slick tires and as conditions dried he quickly took the lead until the end. Daring move that allowed Eddie and Cagiva to win.
