The 1985 Nations motorbike Grand Prix was the fourth race of the 1985 Grand Prix motorbike racing season. It took place on the weekend of 24-26 May 1985 at the Mugello Circuit.

At the 1985 "Grand Prix of Nations", Freddie Spencer won both the 250cc middle class race and the 500cc "queen class" race, marking an exceptional season for the time. After this historic double win at Mugello, Spencer won races in both classes at Salzburg, Spa-Francorchamps and also at Le Mans.

During the 1985 season, Spencer won a total of 14 races out of 24 contested (both displacements) In the 500cc 'queen class' riding a Honda NSR500 bike, he was first over the line seven times, to which he added a further seven victories in the 250cc class also riding a Honda RS250RW. In both categories 'Fast Freddie' raced for the official Honda Rothmans team.
